Covid Caling Work
Vaccines are amongst the greatest advances of modern medicine. They have slashed mortality rates in half, saving millions of lives. The COVID-19 pandemic is a devastating reminder of the chaos caused by diseases we cannot prevent. Thanks to vaccines, we now have a halfway to ending this pandemic and rebuilding our lives. But we’re not settling for a return to normal. Normal will be when every citizen puts their second dose of vaccine at their appropriate time. Ensure that all eligible groups receive the second vaccine. All people get the correct information and are not influenced by disinformation, myths, or misconceptions. The hesitancy of the public is addressed on the COVID-19 vaccination process. Provide correct, consistent, and timely information on the new COVID-19 vaccine(s) (availability, safety, and timelines) and vaccination processes. Generate awareness and understanding of the phased approach of prioritizing the people. Address low-risk perception of the infection amongst people and build an enabling environment to adopt and maintain COVID appropriate behaviors to reduce any risks of infection. More than 600+ student volunteers of KSRCT worked for more than 11 hours on 07/10/2021 to spread awareness to the people all over Tiruchengode. The data were provided by the Tiruchengode corporation and the Namakkal collector student made more than 6,000 calls to remind people of their second dose. People who have a condition or are taking medications that weaken their immune system may not be completely protected even if they are fully vaccinated. They should continue to take all precautions recommended for unvaccinated people, including wearing a well-fitted mask until advised otherwise by their healthcare provider. The work done by the students made the increase the number of fully vaccinated people in the town . This helped the government to make a clear database for the requirements of the vaccine and the number of people vaccination awareness status.
