YDR Inauguration

“A strong positive attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug.” Chemicals that affect the body and the brain are known as drugs. The effects of various drugs can vary. Long-term and permanent health effects are among the side effects of some drugs. They can even persist after the person has stopped using the substance. Over 7 million people have an illicit drug addiction, and illicit drug use is responsible for one out of every four deaths. In fact, drug abuse is linked to more deaths, illnesses, and disabilities than any other preventable disease. Addicts are more likely to suffer unintentional injuries, accidents, and domestic violence. Our SMV team established the YDR CLUB to help students become drug-free (Youth Deaddiction and Rehabilitation club). Mr.P.Naveenkumar gave the opening speech. He discussed the negative effects of drugs and made students aware of the dangers of substance abuse. This session drew over 300 students, all of whom learned something new. He also discussed the plight of beggars in our society and what they require. He helps the beggars get back on their feet and gives them new life. Through our club, we raise awareness about drug abuse and provide treatment to those who are affected. It is a fully functional Student-Led Network for Socializing Drug Addiction Victims. Victims are not alone; their friends are there to assist and support them.
